Guitar Gods??!!??

Todays living players? Well probably John Petrucci, Joe Satriani, Kirk Hammet. But i like the Petrucci and his Dream Theater most. Great solos and really hard stretches.

There are a lot of guitar gods frm jazz and fusion (Tommy Emmanuel, Kotzen) but I prefer guitar rockers Yngwie Malmsteen and Zakk Wylde

lol somebody said the best guitarist is Led Zeppelin, lol. but I'm going to stick with my modern day guitar heroes. I'm not a big fan of the only soloist guitarists like Vai. I really like Einzinger(Incubus), Morello, Lissack(Bloc Party). Those guys come to mind right away cause they write amazing stuff and then when solo time comes they use these crazy effects that really interest me. I can understand how people don't like guitarists relying on pedals to enhance their sound but if it's available and it sounds good, why not?

Jimi Page, Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, Eric Clapton, etc, etc. All the old classic rock guys, they can really wail on their axes.

I like Brian Setzer, he is kinda unique in his musical tastes, yet can excel in most genres. I'd sure love one of his signature model Gretsches too, talk about hot looking guitars :)
