Online education - a good alternative?

Most of us have been groomed in the traditional schooling system. I mean we are from the baby boomers age. However, today, online education seems to be making headwaves in the educational arena. Elearning advertisements are so rampant in every magazines, newspapers and other media.
Coming from a traditional school system of sitting down in a classroom with the teacher in the front, I was a bit loss when it comes to trying to learn through the computer. I did enrolled for some eLearning courses. The courses were designed in such a way that they were interesting and eyecatching. Of course, it took me about a month to get use to this style.
There are many advantages as well as disadvantages concerning elearning. Due to the enviromental factors surrounding us, we will either be supportive or not. Let us share our views here.

I don't think online education can replace the tradtion school education.
You know people always have no self obligation to learn, it need the school to force someone to learn.
IN online education, no one will force you to learn, you can learn or not to learn, but people is lazy.
Of cause the online education has itself advantage that means less money pay for education, and can learn everywhere, everytime, no time and space limitation.

I think you have a good point there. Pointing out the differences between online learning and traditional education helps people to make a better choice. It may not be the best because our choices are often affected by circumstances like finance, time, place, etc.
Still, online education will make headway in the years to come, looking at all the circumstances around.

I finished part of my undergrad online and also working on my grad degree online. I love it. It is very convenient and a better way for me to go since I never liked sitting in a classroom. I found that the students on campus and students online have the same requirements and classes. I am currently doing my internship as my on campus classmates are. It has been a great experience for me.

Wow, you are a good encouragement to those who study online. I am sure that online education achieves as good results as classroom style. All we need, is to have self discipline as regards to our time, effort and finances.
