Money and Work Satifaction, What do you want more?

We all work. Self employed or for someone else. The primary gain we start working is obviously the money. After years when you earn decent money, what matters most to you? To earn more money or to get job satisfaction? Do you have a job with a perfect balance of both? Thanks for the response!

Yes! finding both is really a task! I consider myself lucky to have both at the same time. Thanks.

I'd rather enjoy my job than make a lot of money. I'm a very frugal money, I don't need a lot of money to live. Just more than I make now.

I wanted both. But I think, if I'm already contented with money and can survive for life. No need for me to work.

I'll go for work satisfaction. Of course, I can't work without getting paid, I still need to survive. But if the work can really give me satisfaction but pay enough for my necessity, I will still take it. To me, working without interest or passion, the life will be miserable. I think I'm lucky that I'm currently having a job that I really like to do, and the pay is quite good, at least it can support my basic financial needs.

i know for sure that every body will love the job satisfaction than money.it may be one off incident that some one will go for money rather than job satisfaction.but you can not live with that for a very long time and there will be a time when you want to have the satisfaction for what you do.

For me, I obsultely work for the money. Because work is not my whole life, I get other stuff to do like travel around the world. So, for now, I'm working for money and save money to achieve my plan -- retirement on 45 years old!

man as men are, don't get satisfied, first they want a job, when they have the job, they want better paying job, when they have better paying job, they want high paying job that gives them more time with their families, when they got that, they would add more and more of what they already have. Is that greed? don't think so, It is an escalation of needs or wants. first you want a house, when you got it then you want a car, when you got both then you want appliances and so on and on. you accelerate your wants, Its human, don't you think? Where and when can man get satisfied?

You are absolutely right! But here I'm talking about the 'work satisfaction' or 'job satisfaction'. A man either works for money or job satisfaction, most of the times trying to strike a balance between both.

I think everyone work for money. But if it doesnot give u satisfaction then u can't work your best. Yes I am here on mylot because of money but I return here daily because I feel satisfied by posting here.Yes both are important for me.

see at a condition when you need money, money is wanted there not work satifaction. and as u know that in this type of world where only money is required i think money is more. work satifaction is also a good thing but this is for only in heart. you can tell a person to see work satifaction but money. so i will go for money.

ok, but will you be able to take 8 hours of frustration everyday if you are not happy with your work? even if you get good money from your work? May be you could, many people can't I guess.
