I don't. Personally I think it is kind of silly if you are just going to mess it up again. :) I do like getting into a made bed, but it's not worth my time to make the bed every morning. I know it only takes a few seconds. Maybe I'm just lazy. what about you? do you make your bed every morning?

I do currently, b/c I still live at home and if I don't make it (b/c I don't feel like it) my mom assumes I didn't give myself enough time in the morning or thinks I overslept :( But I made it easier for myself by tucking the sheet under the end of the bed. Now it takes less than a minute for me to pull up the sheet and comforter, put the pillows down and I'm done. When I get married I won't really have to make the bed since my husband will still be sleeping in it :) But I do prefer a made bed during the day, so I'll just make him make it when he gets up! It's nice getting into a neat bed at night as opposed to one where the sheets are all twisted around.

you are assuming that you get up first but as you know some morning people get up early and work in the morning so you may be the last out.

When my husband is not home, and it is just me, I just pull the comforter back up, because I don't mess it up too much. When he is home, sometimes I get kind of lazy and don't do it. Otherwise I just straighten the sheet and pull the comforter up. I don't bother tucking in the sheets and everything, as long as it doesn't show beneath the comforter!

If people come over that's what I do. Just pull the comforter up and don't tuck in the sheets.

Yes I make my bed everyday. I think it is just habit. I just feel better once the bed is made.

I agree, but if it was up to you (not your wife to do it), would you still make it?

Don't be lazy, make your bed, I hate an unmade bed, don't sleep very well if its not made. (I suffer from insomnia and don't sleep very well anyway.) My wife likes the bed to always look nice and tidy.

I can't see how your sleeping mood can be affected by the bed being made or unmade? Surely while you're laying in your bed you can move the bed clothing around all you want until you get it into a position where you think you'll fall more easily into sleep.

I am apologist of the same moto as yours. Why make your own bed every single morning if you're bound to undo what you've did later? I suppose it all comes down to a matter of personal organization, some people do like to have their stuff always organized and tidy and some other just don't see a big point in being so stressed about such little things.

Now please don't think I am daft, but I do make our bed every morning and then an hour after I have made it my husband comes home from night shift and gets into it so I have to make it again when he gets up in the afternoon. I also do make it at the weekends. I try very hard to get the children to make there beds, sometimes they make them and sometimes they don't

I do. I want everything to look clean and tidy. It also reflects character.

I am totally with you on this one! What a tremendous waste of effort!! I don't even care about getting into a freshly made bed at night.. I am usually too tired to care about it anwyays! haha. It looks tidy when it's made... that's the only reason I can even think of for making it! I make it anyways. I think it's conditioning that makes me make it. Coz my mum would tell me to do it as a kid. So I have no choice in my brain now haha. I ain't gonna make it this morning. As a mark of respect for this discussion! haha. I am gonna make a stand and leave it, even if my wife shouts at me and does it herself.. . I will stop her from making it and leave it in a heap! haha. And she will probably be on mylot and shouting at you Rachel. So beware! hahahaha.

I don't make the bed I'm up first ,later our cat goes to bed and hides there for the day I straighten and fix it up just before I go to bed or my husband does it if he goes to bed first.

I find that I often make my bed in the later in the morning or in the afternoon. It seems that most mornings, I'm not in my bedroom so I don't really pay attention to how it looks. But when I go to my bedroom in the afternoon, I don't like to see the unmade bed, so I fix it then. I know there was about a week I didn't spread my bed at all
