i prefer country on the city as cities combine together to make a country.there is no identity without a country..

I prefer the city because it has much more to offer than the country side. I like to go out in a lot of bars and clubs and I don't think that in the country side you will find lots of them.

I never lived in the country, but I have family that do. I love the city, everything is nearby, You don't have to drive 25min or longer to the nearest grocery store or gas station. I guess the way I grew up where everything was literally around me...

whithout any doubt, I think that City is better than Country. I live in Torino, in Italy, the city of the last Olympic Games! and....I like it!!!! In a city you can find a lot of services... for example there are a lot of cinema! pub, disco and every thing to enjoy it! yes yes, you'' say me that in city there is pollution and smog.. eh.... is the cost of the welfare!

I would definetly prefer city. Because I have been grown up in city and leaving city and settling in country would make create problems. I like the Hustle and bustle of city.High skyscrapers and dream of being at top of the town and talk of the town

Hi thank you for responding to my discussion and I prefer to live in the city as it is a lot closer and has more facilities here than in the country.

Hi, Well I was brought up in the city and have also lived in the country and now live near the city but with a vast amount of countryside around us (and the sea!) I much prefer living where I am now - close enough to the city to be convenient, but just a 10 minute walk to get to the countryside. I used to live right in the country and I found this hard work, there was only a small shop there that was only open a few days a week (the nearest to that was 4 miles away and a bus only twice a week!) The community spirit is quite nice on one hand but everyone knowing your business is quite hard to get used to!

I like both of them.I can live anywhere in the city or country. If i live in country i have small problems like not getting of the product i want and power cut is more in country, but in village we will get what ever homely needs we want.what you said is correct the pollution and traffic is more in cities when compared to country. So,i can settle anywhere,I lived also in the two places.

i guess the problems with city are more but countries have major problem which cities also have to survive and why? because they are roots of country and if any city is having any particular not even country but also another city have no eefect on them.

I have lived most of my life in the country and I have been forced due to work to move to the city. Though the city is not all that bad I really do prefer the country life. The smell of the fresh air, Seeing the stars at night are just so wonderful. You don't really get this in the city. If you need the best of both worlds all you need to do is pick a decent size country town like Bathurst or Orange (for those in NSW Australia.) There are towns that have a city size but a country attitude. You would need a popuolation of around 30,000 to be a decent size to get most services.

I'd prefer living in the country as long as they have the basic necessities that the city has like a police station, hospital, school, a mall or two, auto repair shop, cinema and fire station. I once stayed at a friend's place in Texas and the outskirts of California and the view there was breathtaking. You can still see the city from afar but it's being dwarfed by all the natural landscape. The only thing that freaks me out at times are the urban legends the locals tell. We went to one of their local bars and you can just hear the horror stories the people tell to their visitors. I don't know if that's just to frighten me and let me leave the country ASAP or to keep me interested in staying and trying to find out what's behind those urban legends. I swear people from the country tell the best horror stories. Their location alone is already half of the scary part.

I like having access to all the things I want to buy. And all these can only be possible if I live nearby a city. So that is my decision. I choose to live in a quiet place by nearby a city. So I have a peaceful life with no traffic jam, and at the same time when I want to do shopping I can just go to the city which only takes me 45 minutes by a car drive.

Hi..... I would prefer the country...I ve been in a city(Madras) all the time. Ofcourse it gives you a great chance to mingle with people and all. But this city is, as is all other cities, polluted. So i would recommend a countryside, always. Maybe it is the "Grass is always greener on the other side " effect. But i love the peace and quiet of the countryside..

I would prefer to live in countryside with beautiful, serene surroundings. The city is not bad too, as long as it's not too busy and noisy. haha ^_^

well every city and country has its own draw backs and merits too...like in India you won't find it good every where but most of its cities are very attractive and they gravitate people from all across the world... still if i had to choose i would choose a city because you will not stay in the whole country but only in a particular city...so prefer city than going for a country...

I've lived in the city my whole life and i love it. Everything is so close and nearby. Grociery stores aren't far away, and it's so lively. I've never lived in the country, but i don't think i would like it for the simple fact that i'm used to everything being so close and lively. I have to admit sometimes i do daydream about moving to the country when i'm older. Me and my husband in a nice little house. I think the country is beautiful.
