Can Someone Help me with AVATARS?

So I made 500 posts and can now add the little pictures. BUT where do you get them from and how do I do it? Can someone walk me thru this

upload pic - upload pic to mylot do this type
1st u log out then log in then ur upload pic for each discussion. ur upload pic from ur album.give long detail about ur image.
