Do you guys see another last place finish for the 2007 Mariners? I certainly do. This team in such a mess and it has been in a mess ever since Bavasi took over. I miss the glory days of 1995 with Griffey, Randy Johnson, Jay Buhner and Edgar Martinez.

There will never been another year like 1995 for the Mariners. Personally, I was not a big Griffey fan, but I think the team started to fall apart when they lost Randy Johnson. Even Jamie Moyer is gone now, to try to be on a winning team before he gets too old and has to retire. I don't blame him a bit, do you? It is going to take years to rebuild the Mariners. I think one highly overlooked player is Willie Bloomquist. He has always given 110% to the team in whatever capacity he could. We need to quit buying has-beens and old geezers at a bargain and spend some real bucks on some more quality players. Just my 2 cents though.

I have to agree with you on '95. It was a glorious season for the M's. The problem with the M's getting some quality thru the free agent market, however, is that they always seem to go the conservative route. They don't like to spend too much and go for the second string players like Richie Sexson and new additions like Miguel Batista and Horacio Ramirez. I think the best thing is to a complete overhaul of the M's organization and the first thing to do is get rid of Bill Bavasi.

Aww man I remember the mariners. What happened to them. I'm not sure how far they are going to go this season but I don't think it is going to be pretty. They need some new players or they need some new coachiing or something because right now they don't look so good. They could let you or I go out there and get the same results. HaHaHa

I think it is way too early to tell. They have a lot of young pitchers this yr. that are supposed to be Good which is what they have needed, but then on one News report they said they do not have a Good closer which is what they really need. I have heard that this is Ichoru's last yr. if they do not do something good this yr. I have never been a Fan of his though anyway. But it is about time for opening day now, so we shall see what they really do.

I love the Mariners and I hope they perform better than expected...I was at the first 2 games and they were awesome...the 3rd was nightmare..but Harden is an amazing pitcher...I love that we beat Oakland 2 out of 3...here's hoping the snow in Cleveland doesn't bounce us out of our rather upbeat frame of mind!!! Go M's!! Of course the glory days were fabulous...and I'm hoping they will return.... I think Bavasi couldn't find a good player if they were standing in front of him...and I think the owner is content with last place...JMHO
