Gas prices in your area

What are the unleaded gas prices in your area? Does it effect your travel plans for a vacation? Our prices are hovering around $2.50 right now, and we want to plan a trip to California. We have to weigh the cost of airfare for our entire family against the cost of gas, wear and tear on the vehicle, and hotels to and from our destination.

Our small Ohio town's gas prices are $1.89 as of today. I hope they keep going down. Two weeks ago it was $2.29. To California from where? And how many in your family? Flying can get expensive when you add more than a couple of passengers!

We live in the Seattle area and have a family of 5. By the time you multiply the airfare and add the rental car, we still think it would be cheaper to drive. Another disadvantage is that it takes 21 hours to get there though (Disneyland).

Our gas prices are over a $1.00 a liter Canadian, (I can't give the exact price because I'm not a driver.) We're planning to go on a cruise and we don't live on the coast so we have to take the plane as well. However we've been planning this trip for years and have saved for it. We're not going to let the price of gas keep us prisoners in our own city and our own province 365 and a half days a year.

I agree - you should definitely not let the gas prices stop you!

Our gas prices right now are $1.90. It is a nice relief. We do not go very far on vacation. We have a full size van, equipped with a wheelchair lift and it uses too much gas to go too far. If I were you, I think I would really consider traveling by plane.
