My baby is 10 months old and I noticed that he has spotted teeth! I am very concerned how this came about. My husband and I have good teeth so I know this isn't hereditary. He's been taking in iron supplements-- could this be causing the stains? Will this go away when he's older?

Yes, it could. The other possibility is a calcium deficiency, although as far as I know that's quite uncommon in young kids. Generally relates to Calcium Phosphate and Calcium Fluoride. Discolored teeth do relate to diet issues. ***Keep an eye on it, if the condition doesn't improve, seek some medical advice. Calcium deficiencies are rare, but have to be taken seriously, and soon.***

Sorry, should have added this: The reason for concern about a calcium deficiency is that it may relate to a metabolic condition inhibiting the uptake of calcium. That can cause some developmental issues, some serious, so be careful. This does have to be watched. If the kid's otherwise OK, and growing normally, it's probably a minor condition which will just go away.
