FTP or HTTP, Which do you prefer? Why ?

this is not a good question. both are good..you can use http protocol for surfing on internet, view websites(you use http when you enter mylot:)) and ftp for transfering big files.

It's not a matter od preferance! These are to different protocols used for different purposes. I use both the protocols on the internet. FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol which is used for basic file transfer on a network such as internet. HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol, which is used for transfer of HTML documents through internet.

it depends they are 2 different things are 2 protocols for different uses

i do not think it will much make a difference whch one you like ftp or http as they are protocols which are there and it cannot be changed, i do not think you can browse using ftp, and in most site you can download with only ftp, so i think they are good in their places.

this depends on the application which we are using.FTP is used for file transfer by many software like limewire,dap,and many others

If you are talking about downloads, I think most HTTP downloads are better. It is faster. Most free FTP downloads limit how many slots you can use when downloading a file. So if I were to choose, I'd say HTTP instantly. =)
