Answering the Phone

Funny way to answer, try this : (Phone ringning at YOUR home) You : Hi ! Can I speak to Bob ? Person who call you : Huh ?!? What ? What's going on ? I think it's funny :P

I usually chat with my friends. So I dont really use manners.

I try not to answer the phone wherever possible lol. I let the answering machine get it and if someone leaves a message i'll ring them back. I get so many uninvited telemarketing calls it's untrue - if I anwered the phone everytime it rang i'd probably get conned into everything under the sun as I am very trusting! lol

well if its on the phone, I am always polite because I have no caller id on my phone so I really dont know wo is calling me..but if it is on my mobile, and the number doesnt register on my phonebook, I am very very rude especiallu if they call on the wee hours of the morning. ;)

When I answer the phone I just say "Hello?"... Back when I worked as a receptionist I tend to say "(The name of the company), Good morning/afternoon/evening, how may I help you?"

If the answering machine is anything to go by, I sound like Luch from the Addams Family! When answering the phone it really depends on my mood at the time. I really don't like talking in the phone. I'm not one for small talk. I do try and use my manners when speaking whether it is on the phone or otherwise. I do not hold the phone close to my mouth, it tends to distort the voice.

I answer the phone by saying: Hello, then my last name.. Yes, I use manners.. I can not stand rude people on the phone, and I will hang up on them. People can never tell it is me on the phone. It does not pick up my full voice so I sound like a teen, and well I am totally uncomfortable with talking on the phone anyhow.. I hate telephones. Uh, To sound younger just talk in a higher and faster tones.. - DNatureofDTrain

i used to answer the phone...and always telling who i am if i am calling. i have not heared myself on the phone...

Hmm...maybe talk with more energy and excitement will make you sound youthful and younger. Try to speak clearer as well. Cheers! :)

Everytime the phone rings, im excited to answer it cause it might be my crush. hehe. so i always answer it with a very sweet voice and will say, " hello! good afternoon!" . hehe. As simple as that.
