Do you only like and buy from the "Big Name" designers or do you just look for the sales?

I will usually look over what a site is offering but normally if a site is offering any freebies that catches my attention first. If there is a particular design that catches my eye, I may go ahead and purchase it right on the spot. Otherwise, I try to see if something will inspire me to create with the photos that I have. It doesn't necessarily have to be from a famous designer. I just like what I like and go from there!

Up until a couple weeks ago I had never paid for a single thing and I have so much free content I don't know what to do with most of it, lol. I took 5 CDs to transfer it from one computer to another.

Sometimes it seems to me that there are so many freebies in digscrapping that really one could amass a pretty large collection without EVER buying anything. What do you think?

I love Sara Carling's stuff (Shabby Princess). Up until last week everything I used was a freebie then I got paid here at MyLot and decided to spent some of my hard earned cash, lol. I looked around and couldn't decide until I went to the Shabby Shoppe. I picked up a bunch of her kits (I love her free ones already). I like some other designers but so far hers is the first I felt like actually paying for.

Sure is a craft:) This is what I do for a living - my avatar is a page i designed- what I do is design kits which include background papers, various elements such as tags, fasteners, frames, alphas etc. People download them and create pages from the pieces on their computers - print them out and place in albums. The beauty of these is that you can use the papers and elements over and over again (unlike pieces in reallife). Some people combine the digital and real life products. For those people in a hurry or don't want to design their own pages - most designers sell "fast pages" like my avatar which comes ready made and a blank space(s) for the photo. You can even buy a set of co ordinating fastpages to complete a whole album/brag book for yourself or as a gift. Alot of designers offer free papers, elements fast pages so you can sample the quality of their work before you buy complete kits - http://www.digitalscrapbookpages.com has a whole gallery full of freebies and every designer has a free sample as well - well worth the look. I also offer freebies through my blog http://eugeniabacon.blogspot.com/ Hope that explains it all:)

Of course who wouldn't want to own everything that those famous designers designed but I still look at the other products by the not so famous designers. There are a lot of good stuff in the digiscrapping stores. If I'm going to buy a lot of stuff then I wait for the sale but if it's just one or a couple of things then I go ahead and buy.
