Do you have a nickname for your pet? Something that you call them, besides their given name. For instance, I call my cat "Tuna breath" :)

We have a cat named Morgana. My wife named her, I'm not sure why she picked that name. This cat is also called tuna breath, hairball, and rotten, plus a few stronger names depending what she has knocked off of something. She has been responsible for some huge messes involving papers, books, DVD's, and just about anything that can be knocked over, kicked off of something, or gotten into has been.

"plus a few stronger names depending what she has knocked off of something." Haha, I see ;) It's easy to take it out on your pets when they do something wrong. But I try to resist the urge, because "they know not what they do". Well, to be honest, my cat sometimes throws things off shelves and such for attention. So maybe she does know what she's doing :D

That's funny, I used to have a dog named Possum and his middle name was Breath. My beagle-type dog that I had was named Worthless (actually Worfless)and I guess I felt guilty for naming her that, so I often called her Shortcakes. Which led to my next dog being named Shorty.

Shortcakes is a cute nickname :) We don't have possums around here. How's their breath? :D

http://www.fwnp.com/opossum-teeth.jpg That does look like it could hurt you! It's funny when I think about it, most of the fauna here is so benign! But when I was little, I do remember being wary of wolves and wild hogs when taking strolls in the coutnryside at night. "What was that noise? Let's go back? What if it's a pack of wolves? What was that noise???". I have to say dog's breaths aren't very pleasant to begin with, eating a possum probably wouldn't help, but maybe the difference wouldn't be that spectacular ;)

They are slow and should be easy to catch, but they have some wicked looking teeth, so I have never gotten nose to nose with a possum, but I think their breath would be pretty bad. I was never clear whether the name meant breath similar to that which a possum would have, or breath like the dog has been eating possums.

I have two dogs and both of them have nicknames. One of them has many nicknames, such as dogbert, like the one in the comic strip Dilbert. He is white, I guess that is why he started calling him that. We also call him chunky butt because he eats all of the time and he was chunky. He isn't anymore. Sometimes I call him dorkbert instead of dogbert because he barks at doorbells on t.v. We also call him Jakie, his given name is Jake. The other dog we call her nugget butt. She has a docked tail (we adopted her and it was already like that). Her tail looks like a little nugget. She will come to us when we call her that, too. So we call her Sadie nugget, nuggets, Sadie butt, Sadie, and Nugget Butt. Those are all of her names. She knows them all, too. Especially if you have a treat in your hand. LOL

I called my german shepherd Tara when I first got her as a pup. As she was growing up, she chased all the wildlife around us and I very rarely had to feed her. She ate pheasants, birds, rabbits and even tin cans, coal and turf. We then started calling her 'wolf'. Having said all that, she was very timid and great with children.

Tin cans?? My uncle's dog once ate a blanket and partially chewed up a door, but I had never heard of a dog eating tin! Quite a "wolf", yes! :)

I have a cat that I call Mo but her name is Bella. The reason for the nickname is because she is all white but has a black strip on her head like a mo hawk.
