Fear of "dentists"

I was always scared of my dentist. But the one I used to see as a child was a really sweet man. He did give me strict regulations to reduce my intake of chocolates. and even tried to make me happy .... but he never succeeded! And I am still scared.

I thank God I have no problems with my teeth,but last year I have to visit the dentist,she was very careless with my mouth.It was so paintful and i rhought I gonna die.So I have a big fear from dentist now.

I guess it was a misconception that Dentist are fearful. We must not be blinded buy such misconception in our dentist. I see no reason for such fear. I have never fear my dentist because I have no bad exprienced about it. Although I had many types of tooth resotration and extraction done in my teeth it doesn't mean thatI would fear my dentist. I rather go to my dentist than continue myself in pain. I guess it was more fearful to have your teeth infected than going to dentist for some teeth extraction.Besides dentist performing this said work like tooth extraction and tooth restoration or in laymens term drilling of tooth is not something you must be afraid of. It's also normal procedures that needed to be done becaue its the only way your teeth can be saved, or infection must be prevented.
