Would you stop going to church because of the people at the church?

That's why I stopped going. I couldn't take the people. I can pray just as well in my own home as I can in a church, so I don't see the point of going. The women tended to be gossips and catty, and that just wasn't my scene.

There are many reasons why I no longer go to church but this would be one of the main ones. In my personal experience I found there were a lot of cliques and snobbish behaviour which made me very disillusioned with religion.

people in the church gosip a lot and that can be very annoying. my husband told me all about it that's why we don't go to church here in the usa. i would really want to, but i guess my husband wasn't lying when he told me all of these stories. it is sad that people in church make other people uncomfortable.

It is very sad. This is one of the reasons my husband and I do not attend a church. For people of God, these people sure don't act like it, and then they accuse others of not being Godly. I would rather not attend.
