What should I do to ensure that I receive "Best Response"!

I have been responding to subjects that I find interesting and I now I have one best response to my credit. What do you do to help be considered for best response? How many best responses do you have? Do you earn more for that response once you are chosen? Please be specific as I would love to choose the best response for this discussion.

I really don't think much about getting a best response when I respond to a discussion. I just focus on putting my opinion and what I want to say out there, and putting it out there are clearly and in as much detail as possible. And it's obviously working because I've lost count of how many best response's I've received. Some general tips, though, if you are concerned about it: Make sure your reply touches on the important parts of the original discussion. Make it clear you read and understand the discussion in its entirety. That's something I always look for when choosing a best response. Another thing is to be very clear and coherent. Say what you want and say it well. Add something to the discussion. Add another viewpoint or introduce a new theme or point that wasn't covered in the main discussion. Further the conversation to keep an actual discussion going on. Good luck!

People here have different views some are really reading the response while some do not, that is why sometimes no matter how hard you try, you can't get the best response mark.

I have about 5 best responses, some of them I was surprised at. Yeah I noticed just a slightly different increase in my pennies the next day. I really believe that just picking topics you know something about and enjoy talking about is the key to this thing called MYLOT to begin with. I keep it real and appreciate those folks that do the same, This is all in fun, its not a job or a living. I never go into a discussion with best response on my mind. For me I tend to be wordy, I can hardly ever leave a one sentence response, but that is my personality. I tend to be wordy in life, although not talkative. LOL there is a difference.

It's beyond our control. It's like getting a comment or feedback thing from other user. I mean it's subjective thing, eg like participating in a contest, it's all depend on the judge taste and opinion. The contestent can only give their best. So don't focus too much in getting best response. You will lose fun in mylot for pursuing best response and got disappointed sometimes (meaningless right?). Ofcoz there are ways to give you higher chance to get best response. First thing, answer sincerely with valid points. Always give the best opinion and put yourself in the discussion owner's shoe. Then if the owner can be easily agree with you and mark you best :) But if he does not favor you, then it's still ok, coz it's really up to him to give. Besides, another tactic is to always sought for new discussion with 0 response. I had been doing this and i got higher chance to get best response. As and ethic too, always check back and respond to those discussion where you had been marked so that to make sure you had really helped the owner (especially those asking for help) Lastly, i do not think getting best response will help in earning much. It could possibly help, but not much. I think it's just a way to make us happy when we are marked as best and also to help improve our reputation in mylot, like the star rating stuff.

I had to go and look to see how many I've gotten. I've gotten 29. And I don't think you can do anything to ensure you get best response. It all depends on the person who started the discussion and which answer impresses them. You just need to answer discussions you can relate to and give good answers to and don't worry about it.

for me i guess its the sincerity. When i response to a certain discussion which i can really relate i just write what i feel and whats in my mind. mostly my best responses are those which i can really relate and everytime they mark or i was tagged as best response, i really feel flattered and happy because someone appreciate my thoughts.

To get marked as a best response you must ensure that your comments relate to the discussion and are clearly written out. Also, if you have valid points or ideas then it makes your comment stand out from everyone elses! As for earning more, I am not sure whether you earn more for best response comments or not, I would imagine that you do as well as getting positive ratings. I have absolutely no idea how many best responses I have!

I just counted and I have 62 best responses. It pleases me so much to receive them, although I don't write responses for the purpose of hopefully getting a best response. Think about what you yourself would look for in a response and that might help you. Something thoughtful and relevant and interesting. What I do in general on myLot (because I have responded to WAY more than 62 discussions!) is: *I only respond to things that I have a genuine interest in and feel I can make a real contribution to *I try to make sure I'm staying within the topic of the discussion and giving an answer that addresses the question that was raised *I try to make my answer interesting and well-written *I do my very best to have decent grammar. Oh, and a little humor never hurts! On whether or not it helps your earnings, my thought is it certainly won't hurt your earnings! I have yet to figure out the myLot formula. Truth be told, I haven't put any energy into trying to figure it out! I just try to do the best I can and have fun doing it. I hope this helps!

I dont think there is any way you can make sure that you get the best response tag. I mean just because you feel that your response is helpful or meaningful the person who is reading it may think that it is totally pointless. I have never actually looked to see if I have been marked a best response. I would say just continue to give what you feel are quality responses.

I do not have a lot of best responses, but I believe that you need to tell in your response to a discussion new things that have not been mentioned before. If you are just rewording ideas that other people have said in the discussion then you are not likely to get a best response. Also, try to show real interest in the discussion and ask questions about things in the discussion that you would like to know, questions that will help keep the discussion going.

Computer - Computers take numerous physical forms. Early electronic computers were the size of a large room,
Today, computers can be made small enough to fit into a wrist watch and be powered from a watch battery
I just counted and I have 37 best responses. I think you earn slightly more for them but its not a lot more. How do you pick your Best responses? I wait about a week before I pick mine sometimes longer if I haven't had many replies to what I posted, this gives people plenty of time to answer, I still have quite a few unresolved discussions if you ever look... I read all the replies sometime they all seem the same but there is usually one that stands out to show that person has thought about what they have written. Maybe they have taken the time to add a picture or a link which they thought may help. Its the little things like that which I look for. Sometime someone will look at what I've written from another angle, they even may not agree with what I wrote and make me stop and think, I wont give a — for someone who disagrees with me and explains things nicely in another way but I have been known to give a best response…

I honestly dont know if you earn more or not. I have 5 best answers. I am going to go through my discussions monday and choose the best response for each one. I have not done that yet. I will be looking for a longer response than just a couple lines. I want the response to be on the subject that the discussion is on (many people just respond wiht off the wall comments. lol) I will also be looking for a comment which addes some more knowledge to my discussion such as a personal story or another way of doing something ... hope this helps

Just be your self and say what you want about the topic, you are not going to get the best response every time.

In order to have a chance to get a best response you answers have to be honest and have quality value. You have to answer the topics with honest answers and that have meaning. You have to keep your answer related to the topic and your answer should be at least several sentences. Even with all of that, it does not guarantee a best response as it is up the the creater of the topic who gets the best response. Some topics get lots of responses so it could be difficult to get a best response. Having friends in your list can be helpful as well. Give it time as the more you respond and the better answers you give, the better chance you have at getting a best response.

i don't think there is nothing you can do to ensure that you have the best response because when it comes down to it, it is really up to the person that started the discussion, and everyone's opinion of the best response is different.
