Scientifically, as i have remembered from my lessons in school, the water from land evaporates due to the heat of the sun. The water vapor rises up and absorb by the clouds. When the clouds absorb a great amount of water vapor, the clouds become dark and get heavy. After all it can't be able carry it's load, it will cause rain. The whole cycle is precipation. Just correct me if I'm wrong. I couldn't remember the whole thing about the topic of rain.

If there is no rain, there is no grain. If no grains, no food.
