how to master the guitar

i need some tips on how to master this instrument.it is one of the greatest feelings one gets when one learns to play a song.i have just started learning the guitar and need some help and motivation in how to continue and what needs to be done.your valuable suggestions would be appreciated..

I guess it is just practice practice practice, I help a guy here in Austrlia with promoting his band, he is an absolute genius on the guitar,he has given lessons to other guitarists on other bands, his band plays Guitar Boogie at the end of a show and he goes absolutelr crazy someone said to me it is like me goes into a trance, he is so good, keep pacticing mate and don't give up...

yes i guess there is no other option than to practise.the problem is that i can barely find the time to practise.any little time i try and pull up my guitar and try learning.thanks for the replies buddy.
