I was wondering what your thoughts were? Do you have a myspace?

Like most technology I think it was designed for the young but in 50 years, they'll still be on it. My parents (mother mostly) give me a hard time that I play video games because I'm 19. I keep telling her that I will probably be playing video games when I'm 80 because I grew up with them. Video games are like movies, you enjoy them your whole life but how you do changes it. When I was little I liked Disney movies, now there is no way I'd watch a Disney movie by myself. The same goes with videogames or in the case of your question, myspace. Personally; however, I think myspace is the dumbest thing ever made.

Alot of older people have MYSPACE. I think its the greatest way to communicate with friends. Some people use it to find dates. However, I use it for my freinds and family. Some people like catbox0 think its dumb but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I think the majority of people using myspace are young. I don't think it's only for them though. Lots of people are using myspace for a number of reasons and we aren't all spring chickens.

Well according to that stats on Myspace, it's not just for the young at all. Thousands upon thousands of members are over 40 years old. I have a Myspace account and some old friends that I never thought I would ever talk to again found me on there. I think it is great. It is like classmates.com except without having to pay a subscription fee just to be able to message old friends.

I am approaching 30 and am proud to say that I have a myspace page, as do my husband and we have also made one for our son. We have a ton of family on myspace and it is a great way for us all to keep in touch and see whats going on. I have also managed to find a couple "long lost friends" that I probably would never have located if it wasn't for myspace.

I do have a myspace. Myspace isn't only for the young anymore. It started out that way, but so many people are harnessing the power of this site that even the older generations have a myspace.

I do think myspace is basicly for the young. I do have an account there but hardly ever go there to check it. I plan on using it for networking after I move in a couple of weeks

I have a myspace account. i only have 20 friends and i am hardley ever on it, I have noticed that the majority of the people on there from my school graduated atleast 10 years after I did. I think it is more fun for the younger crowd, but I have a few that I keep in touch with.

I just recently got a myspace and only because a friend of mine had some pics he wanted to show me but didn't want to load them to me via email, etc. So I joined up, just to see his pics... of which I wanted to kill him because they were sooooo stupid! lol But anyways, I do know people my age that have them but personally I think it looks like they can't stand to get "old"... not that I think of myself as "old" but face it, I'm not a teen and I thank GOD for that! LOL My kids all have them and all their friends. I just tend to think it draws a much younger and much less mature group of users.. which is fine for them! Just not for me! If you have one and are older, all the more power to you. It's just not worth my time to waste on there though.

Myspace is for anybody of any age. I have even seen some of my friends parents on there. If you want ot catch up with old friends or even make some new ones, myspace is the place to be. Hope this helped you out. P.S. If there is sombody who is 80 they really have no buisness on there. That is just a bit old to be on any website like it.

I have a myspace page, I am 25 and I see lots of people older than 30-35. I am a married mom and I just get on to reconnect with old classmates. I have got in touch with around 35 people that I went to high school with. It is a great tool that is free unlike classmates.com

I used to use my space, but it is cramped with spam and little kids, now don't get me wrong myspace is not that bad. I keep to a small knit of people. But is myspace for the young, naw, it is for anyone who wants to use it.

I joined myspace to find friends that I had lost contact with. It was kind of funny because I ended up finding a ton of people that I had forgotten about along the way. I found less of the people I was actually hoping to meet up with on that site. I go check my page every now and then but I'm not as addicted to it as I was at first. I'm in my twenties and I use it. Just depends on what you mean by young.

Although I do not have a myspace account, I know many middle age men and women who do have myspace accounts. I don't think that it is only for young people. Anyone who enjoys chatting with others can enjoy myspace. In therory, it is very similar to this site in that people coverse! Three of my four children have a myspace account and enjoy staying in contact with each other via that venue.

I have 2 myspace pages. I use one to keep track of my daughter's activities on her page. The other one I started for networking my online business. I've since stopped selling items online, but my myspace page is still going strong, with new friend requests every day. I think it's a great tool, when used cautiously.

Most of the myspacegroups I visit consist of people well in their thirties or forties. Age is only a barrier when you talk about subjects that young people don't know about. I like it that the agegroups can learn from each other.

I maintain my own personal blogsite, but also am a member in MySpace. I had my opinions about MySpace in one of my postings (http://www.dragonmojo.com/2007/01/whose-space.html#links). In brief, I believe that the age demographics have moved upward and is no longer the playground for the young. I joined mainly to find any friends and/or acquaintances who might otherwise not know how to get online. Perhaps the technophobia of an older generation has gotten them to subscribe to MySpace.

I'm signed up at Myspace but I never could see what the big deal is. I guess it's a indivual thing.
