Unconditional love is misinterpreted quite often. People often think it relates to relationships, and often say they love their partner unconditionally, but it's not true. The only unconditional love is from a parent to a child. Any other love definately is conditional. For example .... if my children make mistakes, I will love them regardless. Even if they turn out to be horrible people, I would love them. I may not like them very much, I'd be sad, disappointed and all of that, but I would still love them. However, if my husband started beating me, emotionally abusing me, running around with other women, my love for him would fade, and likely quite quickly. Love between a man and a woman is absolutely conditional.

Unconditional love is loving somebody so much that you accept all their traits, do not try to change their personality and forgive any wrongs, but attempt to put them right. Understanding is the key word here, I think... loving somebody at all costs and understanding and accepting their own personal faults, without your love faltering them at any time.
