Once you reach 100 points as a Mylot User, you will be rewarded with a star, for you quality and content of discussions and responses etc.
The stars of of different colours and numbered 1-10, according to how valuable and relevant your posts are.
In other words, it's a type of grading.
I saw a guy yesterday who had just passed his 100 mark, and he was awarded a Grade 7, which is very good for a first star.
Good luck.. keep posting and you will soon be on 100 points and receiving your first star. Only 18 points to go!
Brightest Blessings. :-)

the star is given to a mylot user who has reached 100points/discussions/responses. a star accordingly signifies what mylot user think about you in terms of posts or discussions you make. a star rating of 10 is the highest rating while 1 is the lowest. star rating i suppose are based on the positive/negative ratings you get from mylot users, and the quality of your posts are also taken into consideration.

Like ISI standards your contributions are earmarked as star graded. This shows the quality and understandability of your postings relavant to the discussions you made.
