Way before my time was an actor called George Reeves he is the one on the comic book cover of the image that accompanies your discussion.When I saw this guy in a book entitled "Comic Book Heroes Of The Screen" by William Schoell I thought he looked good, and the old time fans actually considered George Reeves "The One And Only Superman",but in my personal opinion, the only actor who actually looked like the Superman of the comic books is of course Christopher Reeve.All the other actors portraying the "Man Of Steel ranged from ridiculous to fair to good,they were okay, but Christopher Reeve was superb. Just as Johnny Weissmuller is to me and millions of fans around the world, the definitive Tarzan,so also to me and millions of others, Christopher Reeve is "The One And Only Superman"
