well it is a bit difficult for indian cricketers to rebuild their confidence and sport a free mind with all of us (the media, politicians and all) taking potshots at them for not playing well. i mean even if a cricketer is gonna play well, he knows that if a little mistake or if anything goes wrong then he has to answer to the people back home.

on paper yes with world class batmen like sachin,dravid,sehwag,dhoni, but performance is the key.Australia just have one or two batsmen ponting,adam gilchrist but they are the best why is it so it the performance of the team and not the individual which counts.India seldom play as a unit they always depend on individual performance .when ganguly was leading team india they were at it's best for everyone except the captain was performing and contributing to the team's performance hence he was sacked from the team

indian team had such a strong batting lineup
but the only thing lagging in the indian team that
makes them the best team in the world is consistency
this is the difference between india and australia
so i think australia is the best team

At present India is not the greatest team in the world,but on their day,they are capable of beating even the best sides.A little consistency is all it takes for India to become the best team in the world.....

i think INDIA is not the best team in the world but it is definately an upcoming team with outstanding players.presently its not the best or worst that matters its the consistent performance that matters.indian cricket team has got players such as dravid,sachin,ganguly,yuvraj....if they perform consistently,sure india will be THE BESTand can even win WORLDCUP

on paper yes india is the best team with like sachin,dravid,ganguly,kumble,etc everyone has a record or too in his naem but performance speaks and these days none of them are performinh
