what do you think about jakarta?

i think is an ironic. The capital city, but have a many slum village there.

Indonisia is one of those countries i would love to visit. I have never been lucky enough but one day i will. I guess all capital cities have poor suberbs i know London does.

i've been there and i never enjoy it as its very difficult to communicate most of them cant speak english and also difficult to get around as i cant understand teh sign written on bahasa indonesia - it is very nice place but i jope they will improve - to encourage visitors to visit

Oh bless you julie0825, I hope next time you visit Jakarta you would find one who could be your guide and of course could speak English. lol Try Bali, for a change. There, most of the people speaks the language of god (i.e English).

i haven't been to jakarta yet. but people say, it is a nice place to visit. so, i might take a look on it on the web. huh? so many slum villages in jakarta? i hope their government will make jakarta a greater place for tourists to see and visit.

Jakarta? Mmmm... It's a dreaming place to get money, but not to have a good living. Flood, traffic-jam, polution, high cost of living, people in a rush, etc. Yes, Jakarta is an ironic I think. I always long for coming back home, Jogjakarta.

i think jakarta is nice place. i have ever been there and hope ance agaian. The slum village is always in the big city.

Well, it is avery nice city indeed. i like the pople and the food over there. but i like bandung. shopping here is like heaven to me. but i love travelling to jakarta ant other parts of indonesian.

Enventhough I don't live there anymore, I was born in jakarta I quite like it there.After all my family still live there and I still come and visit at least once a year. About the slum area though I don't think it's a big deal anyway most country in the world still have a slum area so why not Jakarta..?
