Talking to your plants makes them healthier...I talk to mine...I love telling them how nice they look and how much they are growing...I even find myself telling them that I'm sorry that I was a little late in watering them! I think talking to plants is beneficial to them....what do you do to get your plants to grow?

oh, yes, that is so true! actually, when i water my plans, i sing to them. i've read somewhere that plants react to voices. and i think it's really true, because i've actually noticed my flowers to be blooming more beautifully whenever i sing to them. they're living things, for one, so maybe just like us, they get affected by anything they hear around them.

i think that's wonderful for you to do! Yes, they are living things, and no living thing can prosper without knowing they are loved..thank you so much!

I heard about that before, is it really true? However i saw some people who are opening their radio near the plants or play classical music to the plants everyday. They said it helps the plant grow beautifully because plants are like persons too.

there has been scientific investigation into this, and they have shown that plants that are talked to, played soothing music close by, etc. do grow better...thank you

No I don't talk to my plants I just give them fertilizer and water and sunshine if they need it . I mostly grow african violets inside so they don't need to much. Now outside those a re alot more work, I tell them to quit letting the weeds grow in with them lol

What plants need most is proper sunlight (or shade), correct watering and appropriate amounts of fertilizer/compost along with using the right soil for each. Talking to them is good in that it means you are giving them attention, most likely by giving them appropriate water, pruning, etc. Talk alone is unlikely to do them much good. And yes, I talk to mine while caring for them.

when u talk u exhale carbon di oxide so your plants can get their daily supply of carbon di oxide from u easily. so keep talking to ur plants and see them grow faster and start to give flowers!

I talk to my plants too. LOL Sometimes my partner looks at me like I am crazy but I have repeatedly told him that it is a research done quite some times ago that plants grow better when there is music and people talking. There was another research done saying that plants emit a sound when it is cut. This would mean that they feel pain. They are living. That is an undeniable fact. So, why not talk to them? I even say sorry to them when I am having to cut them back or prune to help them grow stronger...my baby trees. And I sit there each time and explain how me cutting will help. LOL Some may see this as weird, but the tree that was dying when I moved into this house last year is getting better. And I think with time, it too will grow to be a strong tree.

yes the carbon dioxide does help plants, but i also think that when you're talking to them they thrive not only because of the extra care, but all living things need to be cared for and talked to...thank you so much

Yes, I do talk to my plants, and they respond very positively. If I make a comment on how heathy and colourful they are, they try to look healthier and more colourful the next day! And, when I am away, they tend to brood over my absennce and wish me with their waving leaves when I am home....hehehehe...that's all real fun. I am glad that they are capable of accomoodating me!

Fully agree with you! I am not much of a gardener you know, but my Mom really loves it. And she does talk to her plants and flowers. I hear her talking to them every time she approaches to water them. She says how lovely they are, how good they are that they grow so nice and so on and so forth. You should see our flowers and plants growing outside, on the balcony! I'm sure Mom's talking with them help them much! :) Everything is alive around us, after all.
