What is your Favorite Neil Diamond Song?

This man is incredible. There are just too many beautiful songs that he has written or performed that I love. Each one brings me back in time. His music brings memories of joy, pain, sorrow. I had the opportunity to see him in concert in 2005. What a performer.

Oh, I'm so jealous! ;) I'd love to see Niel Diamond in concert, I love his music! As for a favorite... hmm. Forever in Blue Jeans, I think, would have to be favorite. I can't pin down why, but I just love that song. I also love his covers of Christmas music - his version of We Three Kings is my favorite.

I love Neil Diamond. I still have one of his albums in the bedroom. He had one of those voices that just made you feel weak in the knees, Like he was singing just to you.

It is pouring down the snow here. We have about 8 or more inches already. My puppy had to go out to potty. So here I go....our in the snow singing "Girl youll be a woman soon..soon youll need a man. I love ya so much I cant count all the ways..Id die for you girl..and all they can say...is hes not your type....."My next door neighbor walked around her house about that time with her snow shovel. I was so embarassed! It is your fault! LOL

Wow, you sure were lucky. He is great. I love "Coming to America." It's my favorite one. I'd love to see him in concert. The best I saw was an imatator at the rez.

His voice is a good as it ever was. A friend of mine gifted me a ticket. We sat directly across the stage from him. Incredible concert.

I have seen him in concert three times. The one that impacted me most was many years ago,he came out in white shirt and jeans. Simple clothes and just sang his heart out. He did Iam,I said and Solitary Man as an encore. I would have a hard time picking a favorite .THere are so many. My favorite album is Hot August Night. I know what you mean about memories, his music has so many for me.

Well the two songs that come to mind when I hear his name are "Coming To America" and "Heartlight". I do like both songs but I also like some of his others. Those are just the two that stick with me the most.

My favorite is "I am I said", "Sweet Caroline" I could go on and on I have never heard him sing anything I didn't like. He gets better in every year. (In looks and voice).

I don't think I could pick out one particular song. I love all of them and I am sure I must have all of his cds. I got the opportunity to go to see him about fourteen years back. My daughter had bought tickets for herself and her boyfriend to go to his concert when he was in Ireland, but she took ill and was unable to go. She gave the tickets to myself and my husband to use and it was a most fabulous night to actually see him perform in person.

He was one of my nans favourite singers,
she once had Forever in blue jeans played for me on the radio as she liked me to sing this one to her,
so thats my favourite as it reminds me of her.

For me it is Sweet Caroline as this song always brings back fond memories for me, as my mum always had this song on and used to sing to it, he has got good vocals and it's good to remember him even now, I might try and get that song onto itunes now, I bet the concert was great.

I think he is the one that sings "Welcome to America". I loved that song when I was a kid. If I am wrong, just over look me.

Neil Diamond..how can you pick just one song..it seems like I have been listening to him for forever and never tire of him.
Remember Jonathan livingston seagull - I had that in an 8 track..I think I might still have the 8 track but not the player ...I love SkyBird ---it is on iTunes
I saw him about 12 or 13 years ago at the Wintergarden in NY, his Christmas concert, I went with a friend who was Jewish ..she was so disappointed he did not mention he was Jewish..a few minutes later he rocked the place with Havana Gila --which I have never found recorded by him.
Is he still doing concerts?

It is true - one cannot pick a single song. My memory goes way back to 1972 when he was performing "Hot August Night". That time in South Africa we only had the 8-track casettes and that was my very 1st one I bought. We played that casette for days on end. In 1992 I bought the CD when it came out on CD. My wish now is that they should bring out Hot August Night in DVD. I am sure they can as there was video footage of the concert.
