Yes photography still earn....Newspapers, magazines and stuff still need photgraphers. Some photographers like Ansel Adams make a ton of money from their photos because they are simply gorgeous.

a person can earn through both freelance, contests those are good ways to get your work out in the open. Create a portfolio to take on job interviews. My cousin was a wedding photographer, and a friend of mine does portraits, weddings and other stuff.

Though video cameras have really invaded our houses and everything, but the feel that you get when you view a good photograph, is always different, its makes yu think about the situation. it does not completely reveal the situaton but instead asks you to think about it.-thats the magic of a photograph and it will never lessen.

Photography in terms of the film processing plants? Most of them have cut back and developed a digital approach such as Kodack who offer a service of dealing with prints I believe.
As for conventional photography, no, why should that stop?

I always try to have my camera with me and document where I go and what I do. It's great to look back on memories years after the events have happened. I just got married in June and all my family had their cameras with them and I had a professional photographer too... i think we ended up with over 3000 photos of our special day. It means so much to me to have all these great memories!

yes, it still does. though we already have video cams, we also need photography to document alot of things. we need it for scrap booking, office documentation (for hard copy), reports, etc.
