I've heard of Animal Rights but now we have THE VEGETABLE RIGHTS MILLITANTS?

The Vegetable Rights Militant Movement has a website at www.vegetablecruelty.com This can't be for real....can it? The following was copied and pasted from www.vegetablecruelty.com Is it morally justifiable to increase murderings and torturings of corn and sugarcane in order to lower energy costs for humans to drive around on roads that suffocate would-be seedlings from sprouting? NO, IT IS MORALLY REPREHENSIBLE!!! The latest craze in the search for alternative fuels is ethanol. Brazil recently announced independece from Middle Eastern oil thanks in part to their production of ethanol (by fermenting poor, innocent sugarcane). Whoopty-do, Brazil. Your country just traded your everlasting souls for a domesticated renewable energy source. Nevermind that you cause insufferable harm to millions of plants EACH AND EVERY YEAR to do it. Killers. There is also talk in the United States of moving toward higher ethanol production based on corn fermentation. I am sad to say that this sort of governmentally sanctioned cruelty towards corn will probably be commonplace and highly exaggerated within five years. What kind of a world do we live in? No fruit, vegetable, or legume is safe

LOL!! This definitely looks like a joke, to me. It made me laugh, anyway. There is just no way that such a movement could gather all that much support. I mean, I admit, vegetables are living things just like animals are. But they are not sentient beings. And we as humans _have_ to have something to eat. Even people who won't eat animal meat can't survive if they don't still have the choice of eating plants. I mean, are we supposed to survive on air? LOL.

Er, isn't a bit early for April Fools? Seriously tho' this is as daft as it gets, but someone has obviously taken the time and effort, hours of painstaking work to put up a website about rights for vegetables. Sorry but were they in or out of an asylum at the time? Thanks so much for making me laugh, lately I've been blue, but this has made my day, I will share this to my friends. I nearly choked on my cucumber sandwich that I was eating. OMG I feel bad now I've eaten cucumber. Poor cucumber alas I knew him so well. Will I get prosecuted for not taking the rights of this poor dear departed cucumber that I've now gobbled up!

It is always something or another that the government gets into, or private people. Perhaps it is progress, who knows? I cannot imagine living with no fruits or veggies and beens. This is the first I have even heard of this.

What about that poor lettuce you are about to eat, it's got rights you know! I hope you feel guilty for eating it now. The veggie police will be round to arrest you! I'll give you an alibi, it's lettuce substitute. If you thought about it you wouldn't eat anything! Becareful with those chocolate biscuits, and if you've got one spare ;0)

Now AskAlly I very strongly recommend that you do not be going around and telling all the kids about this one, because if you do this organisation will be flooded with membership applications from all those children who do not like to eat their vegetables. LOL Actually I am not really sure whether this is funny or sad, or whether there are some people who are in urgent need of serious medical assistance. Oh and who has the straight jacket and how many are available if this movement takes hold all over the world. On second thoughts it is actually funny but these are really sad people at the same time. Thanks for the daily laugh AskAlly because I haven't had a really good one today, and we all know that laughter is good for the health, and particularly the heart. :)

Well I don't eat meat, and I am always being told by people who do eat meat about the feelings of vegetables, it is a big joke to some people, I wish we could get by without eating, as I am a vegetatian who doesn't really like that many vegetables, so it would suit me to not have to eat at all....:)

warning posted at the blog - Thios is the funniest thing I have ever seen. It surpasses all humor.
this one ios definately coming from a religious leader keen on making us fast on all days. that way we don't eat meat nor do we eat vegetables and I think we will survive with water and air till someone comes up cruelity to water militants. look at the end of the blog it says "What kind of a world do we live in? No fruit, vegetable, or legume is safe."He is lashing out on animal rights activists and its hilarious though he does have few right points to make.I think its simply crazy world we are living in.Next he will be showing murder of vegetables too. I liked the video though.

What is the world coming too? This is as ridiculous as taking prayer out of school by an unknown atheist. But hey everyone thought that was crazy too and looked what happened. I really hope this person or people do not have the same pull as the athiest did.

I wish the unknown atheist had as much pull to end wars and world hunger! He/She would get my support then.

You know I thought I'd seen it all but that one takes the cake. OMG they can't be serious, even if they are I don't think they will be taken seriously. That is just too silly for words. Thank you and them for the laugh. I needed it :)
