Is it correct? A lot of us believe that partition was a big mistake.Drawing a line that divided poeple in the name of faith is so wrong. No faith advocates that! Yet it was done. Is there any way to redress this and correct the mistakes of our past, so that the riots taht are happening in various places can be reduced.

Walls of partition that divide people from other people is avery unfortunate thing that's happening in our society. You are right in saying that no faith advocates it. If we look closely, people who are often in serious trouble because of their belief are the fanatics and less informed of the nature and doctrines of their religion. People who do understand deeply what the teachings are, are often open minded and has a great degree of tolerance to other people of different faith. One good way to address this is for the religious leaders to continue educating their people the evils that religious fanaticism brings. That their religion does not advocate killings, riots etc. They are actually doing diservice to their faith and projecting an evil image of their sacred belief.
