When it comes to Women, USA is really backward. Women got voting rights after almost 100+ years after they got their independence. Even after 400+ years of independence, they still do not have a women president. Many countries have already Women in countries top positions and gave voting rights in few to zero years after their independence. What do you say?

There are also many countries who gained independence much more recently than the US. Women in the US are VERY well treated. The American woman is one of the most empowered in the world, and if you think the US treats its women badly, you should check out other countries in SE Asia and the Middle East. In some places in the Middle East women are honor killed, forced to wear certain things, segregated from men, can't vote, and need 4 male eyewitnesses to prove rape.

I guess you have no idea what is mature content. Any how having a decent discussion about some curious fact doesn't fit this category.

his point seemed perfectly reasonable to me, he was explaining how in many countries women are treated a lot worse than in the U.S.

I guess the comparision should not be with some country which is much less developed country (Even then USA is backward than many under developed countries in this aspect). So it's still good to discuss a curious fact and find out reasons for such oddity than labelling it as mature content.

there not far behind the rest of the world, i think its a matter of time before they get a female president, just a matter of finding the right woman. In the UK women only got the vote in the 1920s, hundreds of years after men, and its the same in most countries around the world
