Backbiting at Office

I work for a Public Sector Undertaking and my batch was the last batch of fresh recruits. So I am the youngest among all the employees at work. I find myself very uncomfortable among them and find most of them are envious.Becoz my recruitment is on a upper grade and emoluments are in par or more then those who have rendered double or more years of service to the organisation. I find them passing comments and never accept the my methods or concepts. On the contrary pass comments or involve into backbiting. Can anyone suggest, as to what do, I do?
