I'm sorry to post twice... I only feel that I will understand if lost was Hurley's imagination incase that M. Night Shyamalan is the director :)

I think it's that the story of Lost is too good to be ruined, and to be 'just a dream'. What do you others think?

I thought that for a while too, but the writers have emphatically stated in interviews that it is not a dream or a hallucination of one of the characters, it's all really happening, and eventually there will be an explaination. Though I'm starting to wonder if they have a plan for where this is going, or if they're making it up as they go along with no idea how they'll explain anything.

I really hope that is not the case. I thought that I read somewhere that the producers have claimed that this is not what it is. It is also not purgatory.

I dont think that is the point of the story. It has something to do with the people on the island, met before the crash. I think it might have to do with "destiny". Maybe they are all "evil or different" in some way. The govt could be behind it. Or maybe they were picked because the world is going to go into a world war III and they are the only ones to procreate? That's what I love about the show...it keeps you guessing.

my guess, it is a clandestine, most likely sinister in nature, experiment on human behavior and psychology, and we are the suckers and the 'lost' watching this series.

I had heard that a while back-- Because both Hurley and Lizzie were in the pysch center together- But I do not believe it. Too many other wierd things have happened. Like Jack's dad talking with Sawyer at the bar prior to him dying. Desmond running into Jack while running on the bleachers. I love lost! I cannot wait for it to come back on tv-- Feb 7th in the US.. for the remaining shows of the 3rd season.

It would be very stupid, because than all mysteries are revealed by one stupid clue. But maybe it's the only way they can name all mysteries cause there really are to much going on.

I believe they have already said it is not a dream.I don't think the public would swallow that at the end to be honest. Hey,we've all got theories though.

hmmm i think not an imagination.. however, what if its more like The Truman Show? its crazy weird how all this characters connected or got something to do with each other in some way or other even before the crash. actually, what i want to know is what's with Claire's baby? how come the psychic really wants it that claire takes care of her baby and not give it up, that he even scheme that a copule will be wiiling to adopt the baby in LA. thats why claire got into that plane. he foresaw the crash thats why it had to be the plane Claire should be on... well...i just have to wait and see. i love this series so much. and btw, i miss boone. good thing hes back as a ghost in season 3
