Most of it are fictitious, they just peppered some facts on it so that the storyline would interest the viewers. I think this also applies all movies, such as Diney's Mulan and Pocahontas. These movies do not necessarily stick to historical records, they just used the historical person and built a whole new story with regards to the characters involved.

The film is based on a novel sold uner the title "fiction" based mainly on ideas from "Holy Blood and the Holy Grail" which even the authors admit is an unprovable theory which is based on controversial ideas from the early dark age christian writtings. It has some nice ideas but can claim to be at best just another fairly unsupported theory and at worst just another hollywood blockbuster. That said, i really enjoyed it.

The movie was just a fiction. It is not true. There are several views in that movie that it does not reall y exist. I guess check your faith so that you wont be confused what is true from fiction.

The Da vinci code is a work of FICTION. Yes it uses tidbits of historical events to make it seem plausable but its still fiction. You could do that with almost anything if you try hard enough.
