No matter how clean my house is, we have ants everywhere.. 24/7... we do live in an area with a lot of trees and plants still... anything I can do that is safe with kids around to get rid of these?

Try using chalk, my friend. I tried using that and it worked wonders in my bedroom. Now, I am completely ant-free. All you have to do is just re-apply chalk after a month or so. =)

Try Dawn. I volunteer with animals where you can't really use ant sprays. If you put a line of Dawn down where the ants are getting in, it works great. Another thing that works well if you don't have to be as careful about animals, is Simple Green. If I get an ant problem at my house, I'll just mop the floors with that and let it sit awhile. Then clean it up. It's pretty safe around pets.

I am not sure where you live and you may think this sounds crazy but it works. I used to sell Avon and the Original Skin-So-Soft Bath Oil will keep ants out of your house. Put into a spray bottle or use a rag and apply around all the trim of the walls, doors etc. and they will not be back. It works for most other insects as well.

Go out and buy yourself some ant spray, also you can buy ant traps they work very good. If you can fine the ant pile outside pour some gas on it that will get rid of them

We have the same problem, my husband buys baygon the one with a mark for crawling insects and we spray it on the car and on the house where ants are present. And we noticed that ants are gone.
