Money.. money.... money? Give us a break!

Is it me?? I see all this effort going into links and "trains" and special tactics..and then someone says "I got two dollars"...Well, is it me or is that just toooo pathetic.
All that effort to pump out a few more pennies...What does it buy in todays world?
Are times that hard, or does it really pay its way??

I gather from some of the posts I have seen that some folks at mylot are trying to create extra income from the internet. Most seem to have other things going on the side as well. Perhaps it is necessary income?!?
I rather enjoy being here for the entertainment value and to make some money on the side is not a bad thing in my books.

I agree with you. It does seem as if there are so many people in here who are trying so hard to make a few bucks here, and a few more at another site, all of it adding up to less than "pocket change" by our definition. I try to remember that economics are so different in other parts of the world, and to some the money earned at a site such as MyLot is actually a good amount of money. Personally, I can't see where it would be worth the effort. I agree with you that this money won't buy much in today's world, and if it weren't for the fact that I'm enjoying what I learn here, the money certainly wouldn't be a factor in whether I left or not.

I realise, I may sound patronising here but I am not really thinking about the developing economies that perhaps are grateful for every small amount of money they can get. I am thinking of the dedicated techno freaks who have all these programs and scams going yet still end up with hardly anything to shoq for their efforts.
Just the time taken to learn which, if any of these money making progams is genuine, would be enough to qualify as a photoshop expert and earn proper money, don't you think so?
And yes, I come here because I have come to "know" a few really lovely people. :)

It may be pennies but there are some people in here, who are like me, they are using this to try and supplement their income. Personally I'm on SS and SSI so every little bit helps me out.
