What does this mean? "Give to Caesar the things of Caesar and to God the things of God" (Matthew 22:21).

Materials things are here on earth used for our physical existence and we should pay taxes as it is required by the government. But spiritual things should be dedicated to God such as faith, praise, worship, thanksgiving, and everything in the Holy Bible that we are supposed to render to God.

The Lord Jesus was shown a coin, a currency during that time, and He asked whose image was there and they answered Caesar. Those men were asking if He was supposed to pay tax. And so He answered thus. Give tax to the government which consists of money or material things. Those are things pertaining to life on earth. But things pertaining to God should be given to God, such spiritual things as faith and worship. We should praise and thank God for everything.

That means that materials things belong to this earth where we live and we should spend money accordingly and give our taxes due to the government. But we should give to God spiritual things such as worship and other spiritual services where God is praised.

Whatever you earn on earth give it to Caesar but reserve your love to our Almighty God. It can be done in may ways, helping people find direction when they're lost is love of God, and yet asking something in return with your help to the lost man is not pleasing to God.

We live in this world and taxes exist in this world. This means that we have to pay taxes and give what should be given yo our government but we have to remember that all of our earnings, money, this life all of them are from God and even our government are from God. even though some government are not good in leading us, we still have to oblige them as it is all from God. But this is hard to apply this kind of things in nowadays world as there are so many officials who corrupt and all that.

Caesar represents material things like money. Caesar was emperor of Rome in the olden days. What is due to Caesar, give to Caesar. The government collects taxes and therefore whatever tax we are supposed to pay, pay it voluntarily. On the contrary, spiritual things are for God such as worship services and so we should worship God as we are supposed to do.
