Chanting: What is its magical force?

What is it about certain chants or even pop-type songs that makes us join in, lose ourselves, and ultimately, regret that it had to stop? You know what I'm talking about- the kind that make you wish you could suspend time indefinitely and chant along until your vocal chords are rubbed raw.

it is ritual which when performed link your inner universe the cosmos inside you with the heavenly cosmos with the powers and peace of heaven your inner limbs and vocal chords start vibrating which cause resonance with the whole body

I know the kind of songs you are talking about, like the end of Hey Jude. I could go on forever singing Na na na NA na na na, NA na na na, hey hey. Or we will, we will rock you. Resistance is futile. I guess this is the upside of those songs that get stuck in your head that you can't get rid of.

And don't even get me started on George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord".
