i hope that they do have a diablo 3, it can be anything and i'll love it. But i do hope like you that it's not just a game for online play, i mean i don't hate online games, but what about the rest of us, who wanna take on some challenges on their own

Diablo is gonna be played similar to WoW but not the same. First off it is gonna be free, probablly, because they said it is gonna be hosted on battle.net. Second, they will release diablo 3 once it is done but like Star Craft 2 it is still in development and will remain there for a good chunk of time.

Yeah, I just got of off their website and I saw the trailer and gameplay preview. I looks like it is going to be a little different from the first 2 but with a better look and more special moves. The barbarian and a witchdoctor is two of the characters available to choose from, and you can also choose the female versions of these too. I will be buying this game when it comes out.

Well, i don't think so, because they are making so much money with World of Warcraft, and they dont even said anything about a sequel of Diablo 2, i think that Diablo does not have a space for a sequel, but they can create something... like Valve did with Half-life 2, so, i dont think that they are going to do a sequel, but who knows? sorry about my bad english.

Hopefully a much larger assortment of armor and weapons, a longer story line, more skills, and a chance to play as the bad guy. Diablo 1 and 2 is all about the heros trying to destroy the demon Diablo and his brothers, but how about becoming a demon who is fighting to revive diablo or become the new diablo or something. Demon vs Human.

I know you probably long gone by now. But I played diablo 3 and it is really good. I really like the fact that blizzard pulled another ace out of the hat.
Now I wonder about Diablo 4...

You probably won't hear anything about it until they're ready to release it. Blizzard had initially announced Starcraft: Ghost. Look where that ended up going. They weren't happy with it, and it's been in a rewriting status ever since. If they're going to do a Diablo III, you can bet that it's going to be very very well thought out and only released when they're 100% happy with it.
In terms of rumors, Blizzard was hiring in 2005 for people to join the team that brought DI and DII, so you can imagine what that was for. There haven't been any updates on it for quite some time, so it's questionable if they're going to release a new one at all. They've either closed down the project, or they've been working on it secretly. Either way, they've been very tight lipped about it.
So are they? Who knows. Time will tell. Go spend some time on WOW and D2 to get your Blizzard fix.
