Hello! Well yes, it has happened to me, but in regards to other classes at college when I used to attend it. Now, for example, I was attending an advanced algebra course in an university in Puerto Rico. Many people started giving up just because on their first test had scored an F. Since they don'twant to take risks in obtaining a C down the road, they prefer to eliminate it and take it later on. I hope this response was very useful to you. Regards!

Yes, I am a paramedic and the same happened to me, right now I am not working in emergencies no more but my class was of 32 from the start and end up with 15, they all quit when they know the things that the profession involves, blood, rescues etc. I finish but suffer an accident at work that send me to retire from paramedic duties. Finish what you start is a good profession, good luck.

I had a business math class that happened in. But for your paramedic class I'm guessing that people thought it was something they wanted to do and then changed their mind. They probably saw paramedics on tv and thought how great that would be to become and then realized that they didn't have what it takes. In my opinion, it takes a special kind of person to want to become a paramedic. Its not for everyone. I commend you for wanting to do it. Good luck to you.
