There is a guy that I work with who has a neat little sports car. It is real shinny and flashing, he has his windows tinted, and the amount of tint that he has on them is concidered illegal where we live. He is constantly getting tickets for this, and complains every time he gets one. When he sees the police he will roll down his windows, even in the dead of winter to try to avoid a ticket. Why doesn't he just take the tint off, he has paid more in tickets than it cost to get new legal tint put on. Do you know someone like this?T

Yes, as a matter of fact I do know someone like this. It sounds exactly like my ex-husband. He saved up for a $3000.00 amplifier for his car and then complained the whole time he had it, because he was broke all the time. Made no sense to me, but hey whatever dude. Hence the reason he is an ex. After he baught the amp, he installed it himself and complained the whole time he was doing that, then the first week he had it installed he got 3 noise ordinance tickets. So from then on every time he would see a police officer he would hit the mute button so he didn't get another one. I kept telling him to return it, but you know how some men are. They want what they want that's that. women are like that too.

Ha ha, that sounds like something my friend would do to. The extra loud speakers just to say look at me... then complain when he gets the noise ordinance tickets too...

I can't help but wonder why he really wants to keep his windows tinted to the darkness that is illegal. What is he doing in his car that he does not want anyone to see? Maybe he isn't doing anything. Maybe he is a great guy but for some reason feels that his privacy in his car is more valuable than the tickets he is being issued. If this is so, then he needs to stop complaining about! If he does not want the tickets anymore and he is not doing anything in his car that he doesn't want others seeing, then he should not have a problem removing the film and replacing it with the legal limits. I did know someone that had the tinting that turned to be a problem when receiving a ticket. But...he removed it and put on the legal limit.

The only reason why he has it is because he thinks it looks cool. He has told us that before. I don't think that the really cares about the tickets, because he never changes his tint, but I just wish that he would quit complaining about it.

ha ha ha, my brother once got pulled over by the police for not having his front licence plate on. The cop came to him and said, do you know why I pulled you over. My brother said no, the cop then said that you don't have your front licence plate on. My brother then said I didn't know you had to have it on... and the cop then said... why do you think that they gave you two. LOL The cop just gave him a warning.

I know why they gave him two. Just in case he lost one! LOL You know we loose our license plates all the time! They just don't make those screws like they used to. ha ha My partner put our old Florida plate on the front of his truck because this state does not require a front plate...I am just wondering if he is going to get into trouble for it. hmmm

How old is this guy? I have this image of this 50 year old overweight man with a comb over and a black comb sticking out of his back pocket... trying to look cool when he goes trolling for the ladies!:) People seem to go to huge extremes to be cool or at least appear cool and then when they get busted (or in his case ticket after ticket) they don't understand why the cops don't realize that he of all people is way too cool to get a ticket! I think that you should just make a big joke out of it ... like start taking office wide polls and have your co-workers bet on when he'll get his next ticket or take bets on how much in tickets he'll pay before he gets it removed!Funny that Adooley didn't know that he had to have his front plate on ... "Why do you think they gave you two?" LOL! Ben doesn't use his front plate and it took him two tickets before he finally put it in the window!

I have a cousin like that..he does all this illegal stuff to his car and then just pays fines for when he gets pulled over..i keep my mouth shut if he wants to pay the fines so be it, common sense would tell you to just take it off and save some money.

this man is a fanatic, can't say he's a hobbyist. no matter what, the tint must stay in the windows although he may have to be suffered by it. I think this is like a baby who don't care anything, just must get what he wants.

He has it because it looks cool. The reason why the police care about it is because as they approach the car they can not see in and it can be a safety issue for them.

it kind of reminds me of those people who wear sunglasses indoors, or when it is dark out!! They're just trying to look cool.

Sorry I don't know anyone like that. I think that guy is nuts, I don't like to do anything against the law... let alone pay for tickets, maybe he likes doing things in his car and doesn't like people to see...

Pure stubborness. Some people would rather keep paying fines rather than to do something they don't want to. He probably really enjoys his dark tint, and so, no matter what he has to pay in fines, he's not gonna budge.

what your friend does with his car is his own wish and will.. if he prefers to pay the ticket rather than remove the tint, its his choice, and we needn't comment on that. Its the pulling down of the windows in order to deceive people of the law that should be condemned. If he's ready to pay the fine, thats fine, but he has no right to cheat and escape the law. That is what he mustn't do.

He's crazy! My daughter got pulled over once and her's wasn't all that bad, but she took razor blades and scraped it off. 100 dollar tickets are no fun.

That is really weird and stupid on his part. I wonder how many girls he has gotten because of his tint. Probably none. He will live a lonely life because of this tint.

yeah! there are so many like him in our place. We call them the honorable politicians and the policemen execute the best hand salutes for them and they are not even getting tickets from policemen. with tints and all, they are even escorted with loud sirens to boot.
