I recently started reading Franz Kafka's The Metamorphisis for the second time around. I first read it in highschool and fell in love with the book. I found out then I was a fan of existentialism. Until recently I considered myself an existentialist, until I converted to Judaism. In reading this book again, I find that I still agree with some of the underlying existential ideas. When you read this book, do you find these philosophies and do you agreee with them?

Yes, I remember reading F. Kafka's Metamorphosis years ago. I enjoy reading books on existentialism. They have a realistic view of life. They tend to look at life as it is. I don't exactly agree with everything they said, I view life a little deeper.

I feel the same way. Existentialism is much more realistic, but I also believe there is a little more to life than just the here and now. I do believe our actions effect the outcome.
