I choked my husband while I was sleeping. Has anybody done something similar?

I am not a violent person, I have never hit or hurt someone before. When my husband and I were married about 3 months we were both asleep. My husband woke up with me sitting on top of him, choking him. I was telling him that he ruined it because he left towels on the floor. When my husband manged to get me off him, he got out of bed and went and hung up the towels. The next morning he had marks on his neck from where I had a grip on him and he told me about what happened. I remembered the words but thought that was a dream, I don't remember the actions though. Its really scary because if I had killed him, I wouldn't have remembered what happened, but my fingerprints would have been on his neck. I have never done anything like this and never again, thank goodness. The silly thing is that I didn't care that the towels were on the floor. We have been happily married for 13 years now and I am glad that I have never done something like that again. I am sure my husband is too.

Your right, you can't control your body while your sleeping, I am just glad I have not done anything like this again and hope I never will. Thanks!

How spooky! People do a lot of strange things when they are asleep, perhaps influence by what they are dreaming about at the time. Maybe the towels were the last thing you seem before you went to sleep, often the last thoughts or visions we have are usually those we dream about. I don't think I have done anything too bad to my husband yet, just the odd arm fling across my husband head. My husband will keep digging his elbows in my ribs when i'm asleep, I find it really annoying!

I am just glad that I have not done anything else like this again, maybe I did see the towels on the floor when I went to bed, but what I don't understand is, it wouldn't have bothered me if I had. At least my husband doesn't leave them on the floor anymore, hehehe! Thanks!

My ex husband used to have violent dreams and he would do all kinds of violent things to me in his sleep. It was really hard to wake him up when he was like this. Thats one of the reasons he is now my EX husband.

Oh no! I hope my husband doesn't read this and get ideas. Only joking. Fortunately I have never done anything like that again and we have been happily married for 13 years now. He constantly reminds me that I would have got less time if I had killed him. He says the worst I do to him now is roll over and elbow him. Maybe you needed to wear a suit of armour to bed with your ex. Seriously though, do you know what caused this to happen with you ex? I know when I did that to my husband I felt so bad and I didn't even know that I had done that until he told me. I am so glad that I have never done that again. I have never hurt anyone and never would, so I really don't know where this came from. Thanks!
