I was wondering when is the best time to work out? Is it in the morning, during the day, evenings, or it really doesn't matter? I'm guessing it might not matter, but if anybody has any info on this I would be greatful. I'm trying to make the best schedule to lose this darn weight. :)

somebody posted a discussion here about this and it said that 4-5PM is the best time. I have read previously that it is most effective in the morning if you want to loose weight because you don't have any carbohydrates available to burn. Also if you exercise in the morning your metabolic rate remains high throughout the day.

The best time to workout would have to be between 5-6 pm if you are looking at gaining muscle mass. Apparently, from a newspaper report I read, this is the time when muscle temperature peaks, and as such, this would be the perfect time for some weight-lifting. For weight losss however, the same report suggested, early in the morning, when you have just woken up. This is because your body has burnt up all it's available carbohydtrates, and any furthr exercise would force it to burn up your body's reserves (RE:Excess fat). Just persevere, and never ever give up!It took me 2 months to put off 30kilos, but it was definitely worth it! I'll be rooting for you!

Personally, I prefer to work out in the early afternoon, gives me good time to get enough sleep in the morning, then fill up on a healthy high carb breakfast, I then give it 2 hours to settle in my stomach then I go to the gym about 1pm for a good 1.5 hour work out. I return at 2.30 to a high protein lunch, gives me the rest of the day for my body to relax and work on the proteins I've fed it. I think at the end of the day it's a pesonal choice, because my gym opens at 9am till 9pm and there are guys working out throughout! Some gyms even open at 7am, gee, I would be sleep walking on the treadmill at that time of day.

I don't know actually, but for me, I went to the gym at night since I'm working on the day. There should not be a problem, but I still morning is the best time to workout. Since I am fresh to do anything. If I want to do it at night, sometime I feel like lazy.LOL.
