Does your spouse open your mail?

If your spouse opens your mail, does it bother you? My first wife always opened my mail and it annoyed me. Even though I had nothing to hide I believe it's extremely rude to read, let alone open another persons mail without their permission. What are your thoughts?

No he doesn't but it wouldn't bother me even if he did as I mostly just get rubbish through the post lol I have on occassion opened post that is addressed to him but this is mail that I know exactly where/who it has come from and conserns both of us and is usually something we are expecting, when I have opened this mail it is usually because I am about to leave the house and he is not out of bed yet and I am just to nosey to wait till I get back to the house to find out what has been said.

I agree that sometimes there is mail that is addressed to one person in a partnership, and this wouldn't worry me either. However, private mail is a different matter.

i totaly agree with you on this one, my partner used to open my mail and he can't read properly so he would get his friend to read it to him!! i go mad about it because after all it's about privacy and that's private and confidential, it doesn't happen anymore tho, thank god! :)

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who objects to this.
