When do you exercise?

When do you feel is the best time to exercise? I work full time and have to get two girls up and out the door for the bus by 7:00 a.m., then get showered and ready to be at work by 8:00 a.m. so mornings are very, very rushed for me. I enjoy using my gazelle to exercise at night while I watch my favorite tv shows. My picture shows what my gazelle looks like. I can get on that thing and exercise for half an hour and not even realize how much time has passed! I love it when I've gone a full hour and watch an entire show because that means I've burned over 600 calories!So when do you exercise and what kind of exercising do you do?

I exercise in the morning around 9-10am. I am there for 1-1 1/2 hours. I do everything from elliptical, kickboxing, spinning, step, and body sculpting.

I do believe that it is best to exercise in the morning if you have time, otherwise I think that it is best to exercise in the evening after your meal so that your main meal is not sitting in your system while you are sleeping, I cannot get on any exercise bike or walk too much at this time but I do have other leg exercises that I pracise that my doctor told me to do.

I would rather exercise in the morning, but I'm already so rushed as it is... When I wasn't working outside the home, I used to exercise around 10:00 a.m., but that doesn't work any more....

I would say... the best time to exercise is... ANY time. That's right - ANY time. The key to exercising is not whether you should exercise in the morning or in the evening. Rather, it is that you really do exercise. ;-)

I take a brisk walk everyday and I do it in the late afternoon. It gets dark now earlier because of the winter months so I do it alittle earlier. Cant wait for spring to come.

I don't exercise and I really should. I have this pilates DVD I bought this past weekend and I hope to get in a habit of using it. I have plans to exercise at 10a.m. most mornings. This is the plan. Though I seem to be wanting to be more active in the evenings, so maybe an evening shift would be better.

Years ago when I worked full time, I would get up early and do it then. Leaving more time to do things in the evening with my daughters. If I would have waited til evening, I probably would have put it off...this way in the morning, I knew I was done and could enjoy my daughters and night. I was a single mother at that time.

I think early morning is the best time because it gets your metabolism revving for the rest of the day. Studies show more fat is burned throughout the day of exercise is done before or right after breakfast. Despite that, I always like to take a relaxed walk 3 hours before I go to bed. It helps me wind down, and gives me ample time to reflect upon the day.

I work out at different times of the day. I have a harder time getting my heart rate up in the morning, but on workdays, I prefer to work out at that time. But, I also workout in the afternoon if I am able. I used to use an indoor bicycle trainer and ride my bike indoors except on nice days or when I was feeling well. But, my back was killing me, so I joined a gym to use their recumbant bikes. But, I find that I am hooked on the elliptical trainers. I try to burn 750 on cardio days and 500 on cardio during days I do weight training.

i do sit ups, adominal exercises and my exercise bike morning noon and night. I do some wight trianing either in afternoon or evening.

My daughter and I do tae-bo together at around 7PM at night- Like you my mornings are hectic- getting ready for work- helping her get ready for school. There is not time to exercise... In the nicer weather- we go for walks and ride bikes as soon as we get home from work/school - 4:30.. It's good to stay active. They say exercising in the morning speeds up your metabolism for the day-- if I could only find the time!

I currently do not have time in my schedule to excercise. :( I am waiting for my Gazelle to come in the mail. I cannot wait to use it!! I will be using it during the day - afternoon while the kids are taking their naps.
