Lyme disease or Lyme borreliosis is the most common tick-borne disease. The disease varies widely in its presentation, which may include a rash and flu-like symptoms in its initial stage, followed by musculoskeletal, arthritic, neurologic, psychiatric and/or cardiac manifestations. Early detection and prompt antibiotic treatment most often result in an excellent prognosis. However early detection is difficult when the characteristic rash is not present, and even those who are diagnosed and treated early may remain symptomatic. Hmm hee hee, I have it. I know. I was asking if anyone else had it too. And yes I have the chronic form, and it is horrible.

I was diagnosed with Lyme last week. I had only suspected that was an issue for me back in March, but I think I have had it for quite some time- years, and perhaps as far back as between 1996-1998, when I was in college. I was bit by a tick in 1987- the only time I know for sure I was. I don't know if I could have been infected that long ago, because I know there are people much worse off than I am. But the lab work came in, and sure enough I have it. How are you doing right now?

my friend's sister got Lyme disease just after she graduated from high school. It completely sapped her of energy and there were months that would goy by she couldn't get out of bed. I know she was in and out of the hospital quite a few times too. She didn't deal with it very well. She was fortunate that her family took care of her during because she couldn't work due to the overwhelming fatigue that drained her at the simplest task.

Yes, I do. I don't focus on it. I do what I can and have good/bad days. I have come along way and if you don't have an LLMD you need to get one. I am so much better with treatment.
