Kitchen scraps?

I've recently become the proud owner of three point-of-lay chickens on my small-holding in France. They are free-range in our lush orchard and wondered how much extra feed they need. Also, what kitchen scraps can I give them? I'd be grateful for any advice. Thanks, Judith
