How is Life in Chicago?

Hi Pearl. I love living in Chicago. The cost of living in IL as a whole is a lot more than other places but if you live in the suburbs of Chicago the cost of living is a lot less. There are lots of beautiful things about Chicago, we have the third coast (Lake Michigan), tons of free parks, zoos, gardens etc.

Sorry, I do not really know because I never lived there before. I always pass through when I travel.

Hmmm, people seem to be more interested in gaining points for themselves than in answering your questions! I haven't lived in Chicago for many years, but I really liked it. The people are friendly, there's a good arts & music scene, and the El lets yoiu get around the main downtown area affordably. Grant Park is huge and there are other parks as well. Lake Shore Drive is just what it says, and it's a long lakeside path for walking, bikeriding, etc. There are good museums like the Art Institute, Science& Industry, Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, etc. TheU of Chicago and U. Illinois-Chicago are two of the uni's in town, Idon't know much about them. It's a really good town. And oh yes, winters are cold!

chicago's a very nice place. you get the best of all four seasons here. the place feels so american compared to california where you can see so many filipinos and mexicans..
