Have you ever had dessert for dinner?

When my girls were teenagers and they had had a rough day or I knew they had had a good rounded meal that day I would prepare dessert for dinner. Now I know this sounds crazy but that is what rules are for, breaking! I would prepare banana splits or some other favorite and we would all sit down together and laugh at what we were doing and getting away with. The first time the girls told me this was wrong and we discussed it over the preparation and eating of this delight why it wasn't really wrong. I like the fact that I was able to get my girls to lighten up and see that they could do anything they wanted to within reason. We still laugh about those crazy meals. My girls now set the trends with their friends. Fun!!!

Oh, that sounds wonderful! I love flans and when I travel in Mexico, that is one of my favorite deserts. I will try your recipe with the coconut. I enjoy all things with coconut in it. Thank you!

we usually enjoy desserts at dinner time since people in the family can enjoy the meal together & have the luxury of time to eat & enjoy chatting with each other. we usually grab cakes , mixed fruit salad , ice cream , pies & whatever we can enjoy together! we sometimes grab chips even after dinner with salsa of cheese or tomatoes and the can of cola we still have with the meal! we just always make a healthy meal to balance the sickly desserts & junk foods we grab afterwards... LOL ;) just occasional though!

Any food item that helps digestive system is taken as desert. I normally prefer fruit punch, or traditional indian liquid food known as PAYASAM are good for health and tasty too.

That is true! But to do something as risque as breaking the rules? Have you ever done this? It doesn't hurt anyone and you feel like you are getting away with something you shouldn't do. I had so much fun with my girls doing things like that. We also did something where we would try a fruit or vegetable or some other food that we had never considered eating before. We would do this once a week. We started that trend with star fruit.

Last evening I had flan and chocolate for dinner, to me it was almost healthy because the chocolate was dark organic with organic seeds in it .
