Dog menace

A few days ago a girl in the neighbourhood was mauled by a pack of stray dogs and lost her life.Any suggestion on how to make the neighbourhood safe can be posted here.

I know it's a bit drastic, but have any of you considered shoting the dogs? You can't have them running around killing people!?

I would blame man for letting dogs go stray. Many people first like to get a puppy but when they lose interest they just abandon their dog on this street.
It's a sad story. I hope that these dogs are cleared from the streets not to be a threat for anybody else.
